Summary
The fear that cardio "kills your gains" is roughly fifteen years out of date: across the best independent evidence, adding endurance work to a strength programme does **not** meaningfully reduce maximal strength or muscle size — the only real, modest casualty is *explosive power*, and even that mostly shrinks to nothing when you put a few hours (or a day) between the two sessions, lift before you run, and prefer cycling/rowing over running for your hard cardio. ---
